BOOK OF CONDOLENCE IN HONOUR OF DR. KOFI ANNAN

The Embassy of the Republic of Ghana in France has the honour to regretfully inform of the passing of His Excellency Dr. Kofi ANNAN on Saturday, 18th August 2018.

Dr. Kofi Annan was a Ghanaian diplomat who served as the 7th Secretary General of the United Nations (UN) and was also a co-recipient of the 2001 Nobel Peace Prize. He was the founder and chairman of the Kofi Annan Foundation as well as chairman of The Elders, an International Organisation founded by the late President Nelson Mandela. Dr. Annan was a true global statesman, who will be remembered for reforming the UN bureaucracy, for working to combat HIV/AIDS especially in Africa, and for launching the UN Global Compact.

On this sad occasion, a book of condolence will be opened in honor of H.E. Dr. Kofi ANNAN at the Embassy of Ghana in Paris, 8 Villa Saïd, 75116 from Monday 27th to Friday 31st August, 2018 between 10:00am and 3:00pm.
